Glenn Snyder
Glenn was born in 1939 in Dayton, Ohio, but got to
Texas as quickly
as he could.
He grew up in rural Richardson, Texas with horses,
chickens and his .22 rifle. He attended Catholic grade and high
schools in Dallas. Glenn and his wife Sandy have
been together
30 years and they have 5 children and 8
grandchildren. He is retired
after fifty years in electronic sales and
marketing.
Glenn became hooked on the tenor banjo in the mid
1960’s while
hanging out at the Levee, a popular Dallas night
spot. He joined the
Dallas Banjo Band in 1990, shortly after it was
started. After learning
a few chords and songs, he purchased a Gibson
Mastertone Tenor
banjo, which is still his favorite. His other interests and hobbies
include:
traveling with his wife Sandy, flying, working on airplanes,
shooting, playing banjo at church and spending time
at their farm.
